Information on the artist

Umberto Boccioni (October 19, 1882 - August 16, 1916) was an Italian painter, author and sculptor of the futurist movement.
Like other futurists, his work centered around the portrayal of movement (dynamism), speed, and technology. It studied Giacomo Balla in Rome with its colleagues. 1912 it participated in the first exhibition of futuristic art in Paris.
Boccioni died after falling off a horse during a training exercise for World War I.
